The Dance of Life: Experiential Embryology ~ How We Unfold

  • Salt & Soul Yoga Studio Strandhill Ireland (map)

Dr. Stephanie Mines is a neuroscientist and trauma expert who founded the TARA Approach, a holistic healthcare paradigm for the resolution of trauma. Stephanie incorporates the healing art of Jin Shin which she learned from the woman who brought it from Japan to the US, Mary Iino Burmeister. Jin Shin includes a map of the body with areas that Stephanie calls the Sacred Sites. These are derived from the folding and unfolding process of the human embryo. In this two day courseparticipants learn to identify and experience the power of these sites through the dynamics of movement.

The objectives for this weekend of movement based learning are self-discovery, self-awareness and self-care. The Sacred Sites combine to create simple acu-touch practices that enhance resiliency at all levels including immune vitality, muscular tonicity, flexibility, endurance, longevity and rehabilitation.

There are no pre-requisites for this course. It is open to everyone. It will be especially interesting to healthcare practitioners, parents who want to learn about early development, bodyworkers, dancers, movement  teachers (including yoga teachers), healthcare and healing arts practitioners and anyone committed to developing human potential. Students of Jin Shin and the TARA Approach will experience an in-depth and profound exploration into the Sacred Sites to deepen their understanding of them. This course applies towards certification for those becoming TARA Approach practitioners and teachers.

Participants learn:

*About embryological unfolding;

*How movement patterns originate;

*The source of structural strengths and difficulties;

*How to repattern suboptimal movement and structural dynamics;

*How to balance the nervous system using the Sacred Sites;

*How to support children in optimizing development and sensory integration;

*The source of habitual injuries and how to end those patterns; and

*The freedom of authentic movement.

Participants should dress comfortably for movement on the floor. There will be a break for a light meal. Our sharing will be in the context of group co-intelligence and is not intended as psychotherapy.
