The Great Physician: Medicinal Poetry for the Anthropocene

Kindred World Publishing House is proud to announce the release of The Great Physician: Medicinal Poetry for the Anthropocene, the first major collection of poetry by the renowned neuroscientist, healer, and climate activist, Stephanie Mines, PhD. In The Great Physician, Dr. Mines unflinchingly and soulfully moves us beyond transgenerational trauma, war, oppression, planetary collapse, toward the truth of our birthright: our “Original Brilliance.”

The public is invited to join the live launch party on April 22, 2024 at 3 p.m. ET. The Great Physician will be launched on Earth Day 2024, with virtual poetry readings and a salon discussion with Stephanie Mines and Lisa Reagan, founder of Kindred World and publisher of Kindred World Publishing House. (Register for the live event here.)

In The Great Physician’s autobiographical poetry and prose, Dr. Mines shares how her personal and professional background shaped her insights into a fusion of trauma recovery and climate activism. In her global activism through her Climate Change & Consciousness nonprofit, Dr. Mines focuses on humanity's forward moving direction where inner and outer climates meet. In that place of mystery is our connection with the natural world and the living systems waiting to communicate with us, to give us what data cannot record.

Poetry, Dr. Mines says, helps make possible “the spaciousness needed to match our inner experience to the outer catastrophe that is accelerating before our eyes.  It helps us to understand.” These poems are inner experiences through which she, and indirectly the reader, find a way to understand planetary experience, personal and generational cause and effect, and hopefully, the courage and energy to change organically—from war, intolerance, fear, ennui.

Order The Great Physician directly from the publisher for discounted price of $17.98.

FREE CLASS: The Art of Embodied Cultural Sensitivity

April 19th

12-1 PM PDT

Join Dr. Spring Cheng and Dr. Stephanie Mines, faculty of the Regenerative Health MA/PHD program at Ubiquity University, in a free hour-long immersion in cultural sensitivity from a feminine, embodied perspective.

While their emphasis is on cultural sensitivity in the healthcare setting, the nature of this exploration applies to all situations of human service and relationship.  In every healthcare or healing encounter there are multiple cultures present. They all deserve recognition, respect and inclusion, but how to do this naturally is a challenge, particularly in a world oriented primarily towards fragmentation rather than unity.

In preparation for Earth Day, there is nothing more significant than building a bridge to global inclusivity and authentic diversity. During this free hour-long program, you will have the opportunity to experience that this is within reach.

This event is sponsored by Climate Change & Consciousness, Resonance Path Institute, and the Tara Approach.

Facilitated by Stephanie Mines, PhD, Founder of Regenerative Health for A Climate Changing World

At the age of 80, Dr. Stephanie Mines is a model of vitality and creativity, visionary activism and authentic productivity. Her life force radiates as she generously imparts the wellsprings of her unstoppable drive. Her vitality and perseverance is rooted in simple, daily practices of the Art of Compassion, which she learned directly from Mary Iino Burmeister, her mentor, and Stephanie’s embodied understanding of neuroendocrine resilience.

In this innovative two-day program, developed at the request of TARA students, you will discover:

*The etiology of the endocrine system from an embryological perspective;

*How endocrine systems respond to prenatal environmental conditions;

*How the endocrine system is shaped by climate crisis and proliferating pollutants and most significantly,

*How to mitigate, detoxify, and develop immunity and protection from endocrine threats.

* There will be an emphasis on neurodevelopment and life cycles, and how to restore neuroresilience when it has been interrupted by trauma at any stage

Special emphasis will be placed on women’s health, including menstruation, perimenopause, pregnancy and post-partum health. Dr. Mines will incorporate her research into climate crisis impacts on endocrine and neuroendocrine function, with a focus on protection of innate health and detoxification.

Students enrolled in the MA/PHD program will receive credit towards their advanced degree for this course.

TARA students seeking an advanced program to qualify for the TARA Practicum will fulfill that requirement with this course.

TARA students qualifying for Advanced Certification can use this course for that purpose.

TARA Practitioners and Teachers completing recertification requirements will qualify by attending this program.

This course is of particular value to anyone in the healthcare field who wants to recommend safe, non-pharmaceutical resources for hormonal needs.

Those counseling and serving pregnant and post-partum women will deeply value these clinically tested and effective options for their clients.

The Rivers of Splendor: Intro to TARA, Module Two

The TARA Approach for the Resolution of Shock and Trauma transmits masterful ways of assessing, using somatic tools, the contents, qualities and characteristics of early experience. Students with a basic understanding of the TARA Approach can elevate their skills to tap into the mysteries that are stored cellularly and within connective tissue. Facilitator and TARA Founder Dr. Stephanie Mines has researched somatic memory for over three decades. She has tested her approach clinically and documented her findings in articles and books, including her most recent, The Secret of Resilience.

Those who have already experienced the Self-Care and Module One TARA programs, can advance significantly in this program by learning:

  1. How to read energy pulse textures that reveal the process of embryogenesis;

  2. Observation skills that help identify hallmark events from early life;

  3. Language that elicits awareness and follows sensory reports;

Prenatal Origins of Health
Jan
20
to Apr 6

Prenatal Origins of Health

Events before birth, fueled by the human embryo, are more consequential in terms of health and development than anything thereafter. Nevertheless, prenatal life has been largely minimized in terms of its influence on all aspects of health, including emotional, psychological, and mental health. This program is part of an approach to reskilling medicine called Regenerative Health for A Climate Changing World. It allows people of all ages and all backgrounds to claim their earliest histories and support others in doing the same.

Facilitated by Neuroscientist and Embryologist, Dr. Stephanie Mines, everything in this program is transmitted through somatic education. Highly personalized and experiential, the curriculum intends to inspire healthcare providers, educators, parents, therapists, bodyworkers and anyone committed to life affirming healthcare to reclaim the origins of health and the treasure of Original Brilliance.

Hear from Dr. Mines in this short video about the program.

Dr. Stephanie Mines is the author of The Secret of Resilience. This book fuses Dr. Mines’ personal discovery of embryogenesis with her research as a clinician with over thirty years of experience resolving shock and trauma with people throughout the world. When you attend this series, you experience:

  1. The determined and initiatory life force of all embryos;

  2. The landmarks of prenatal development;

  3. The distinction between shock and trauma;

  4. The neuroendocrine evolution that occurs in relationship to prenatal events;

  5. The interaction of genetic, epigenetic and intergenerational forces on development; and

  6. How to recalibrate nervous system responses that became habituated as compensations for failed satisfaction.

No matter your age, you can cultivate neuroresilience by highlighting holographic moments in early development for reframing. The potent and formative energies of early life are a rich field for internal reorganization that optimizes biochemistry.

You will be joined by a cohort of like-minded practitioners who know the power of evolutionary consciousness. Find the unprecedented leadership that is your birthright, just in time to put it to use in a world yearning for your participation.

Register by submitting payment above.

Tuition: $1500 USD

HOW TO OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS OF THE NATURAL WORLD: NEW PROGRAM from the TARA Approach & The Planetary Health Lab of the University of Edinburgh

Location: Online ~ 60 Minutes ~
Date/Time: September 18th ~ 10 AM Hawaii / 1 PM PDT / 4 PM EST / 9 PM BST
Cost: $75

Register here and receive your Zoom link.

The
TARA Approach for the Resolution of Shock and Trauma shows you how the five elements of the natural world live within you.

Touch into the Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Wood Elements that circulate through your blood, the marrow of your bones, your muscles and tendons, through your brain and your heart. When you awaken your sensitivity to your internal elements, it makes it easy and natural to feel your kinship with the natural world. Whether you are in your garden, a neighborhood park, a wilderness or scenic area, or even communing with the plants in your home, your attunement to the elements within you links you with the presence of your nature kin.

In this program you will learn where certain sites on your body, when gently touched, deepen your bond with the natural world. By simply holding these sites before you reach out into nature or while you are there, your ability to commune with nature is exponentially increased, by several orders of magnitude.

Developed by neuroscientist and neuropsychologist Dr. Stephanie Mines, the TARA Approach is an accessible antidote to climate anxiety. It shows us how nature collaborates with us to guide us out of the existential crisis we currently face. Nature directs us somatically so that we find a way through this daunting challenge. Nature is our ally, and we can communicate directly with her.

This program is in collaboration with the
Planetary Health Lab of the University of Edinburgh where Dr. Mines is a Fellow, and their TiniHabitat program. Everyone is welcome to attend. No pre-requisites beyond your desire to feel your relationship to nature and to experience her guidance.

You can watch Dr. Mines’ TED Talk on guidance from the natural world here:

When Warriors Cry for Peace: A Free Program on Humanity Rising

September 11-15 ~ 8 AM-10 AM PST daily ~ www.humanityrising.solutions

Featuring Dr. Stephanie Mines this program reveals the correlation between how war comes home, our climate meta-crisis, and the upsurge in mental illness.

Stehanie Mines developed Regenerative Health for A Climate Changing World because she clearly sees the correlations between climate chaos, mental and physical illness, and our global addiction to war and violence. During the week that begins with grieving the horrific losses of 9/11, Dr. Mines connects the dots to demonstrate why cultivating a life of resilience and investing in Regenerative Health Resources is the way forward.

During this free program, Dr. Mines speaks with the founders of Veterans Families United, formed out of the lived experience of veterans who were left stranded and sick after their military service.

Dr. Mines also speaks with members of TAPS, the nonprofit Tragedy Assistance Program for the families who have survived the loss of a relative to suicide after military service.

This unforgettable week is dedicated to a commitment to end war and squarely face its suicidal nature which mirrors the suicide we live every day in our self-created climate chaos.
